I believe that Steve is Innocent, I mean yes he did say he would participate in the robbery but he really didn't do anything other than keep watch he shouldn't have to face life in prison. If the jury would just give him chance they would know that he has been telling the truth about what really happened and what his job was during the robbery. Everyone thinks he is a monster because they are listening to what other people have to say instead of what he has to say or his side of the story.
